For those wishing to carpool to and from Swannanoa, we present this
'bulletin board' as a way to bring drivers and riders together. All
the info here has been provided by users, so the Gathering assumes no
responsibilty for its accuracy or for any travel arrangements negotiated
between individuals. Having said that, sharing a ride might appeal to
many who wish to save money and resources, and make new friends before
they arrive. Here's how it works:
List your info by filling out the
form located here. When your
listing arrives in our office, it will be added to the table
below. Scan the listings and contact the person(s) you wish to ride
or share with to arrange transportation. For your convenience, you can
find maps showing our location just east of Asheville,
NC at the bottom of the page. Once arrangements have been made,
each person involved should send us an email by clicking here,
so we will know to remove your listing.

trek to Ashville. I have room in my Prius for 2 passengers with luggage

| Comments: I would like some company on the ride from Chapel Hill for dulcimer
week. Anyone from Raleigh, Durham, Hillsborough or Pittsboro welcome and we
can meet somewhere convenient. I have a Lexus sedan which doesn't get great
gas mileage but is very comfortable to ride in, and a great collection of
CDs for the trip. I can accommodate more people if instruments are small.
Gas contributions would be welcome but not essential, I'm more interested in
good company and a relaxing drive. |

| Comments: Flying into Atlanta? So am I and I'm looking for either a) a
carpool or b) anyone else flying into Atlanta who might want to share the
cost of a rental car (not that expensive). My plan is to arrive 07-12-08 so
I can depart anytime 07-13-08. I'd like to return to Atlanta 07-19-08. Let
me know if there are any other folks trying to come up w/an economical
travel plan and maybe we can come up w/a creative solution. I have small
